Wrinkle filler injections
How does wrinkle filler work?
Wrinkle filler is a hyaluronic acid (HA) gel implant that conceals facial lines.
It is injected in the surface layer of the skin, where the body already naturally secretes this acid. The injected acid joins forces with the body’s own HA to create volume instantaneously.
Are you considering the use of wrinkle filler?
Make an appointment to see Dr Chagnon. He will examine your face and discuss potential enhancements. He will then be able to define the most appropriate treatment for your situation.
What are the benefits of wrinkle filler?
Wrinkle fillers can enhance your appearance in many ways:
- Soften lines and folds around the mouth as well as wrinkles around the eyes and on the forehead
- Restore volume in the cheeks and hollows around the eyes
- Make thin lips fuller
- Slightly redefine the face’s oval shape to offset a double chin
- Make superficial scars, including acne scars, appear less visible
While the use of wrinkle filler is very beneficial, the best results are achieved when it is used in combination with Botox injections.
What happens during the procedure?
The wrinkle filler is injected in the surface layer of the skin using very fine needles.
In accordance with the target problem, for example, depending on the fineness or depth of the wrinkle, Dr Chagnon will select a product whose molecules are appropriately sized to provide the required volume.
You may feel some slight discomfort during the procedure. However, lip injections require the use of local anesthetic, since it is the most sensitive part of the body.
