How does Botox work?
Botox is a neuromuscular paralytic agent. It is injected locally in muscle in low doses to cause targeted muscular paralysis. As a result, muscles responsible for expression lines become relaxed and cannot contract, thereby reducing wrinkles for a period of 5 to 6 months.

What are the benefits of Botox?
As your facial muscles relax, wrinkles become less pronounced, including:
- Glabellar lines
- Worry wrinkles on the forehead
- Crow’s feet
- Wrinkles around the lips and marionette lines
- Bunny lines
However, since Botox affects muscles below the skin, it does not target fine lines on the surface of the epidermis. To reduce these fine lines, we use wrinkle filler injections. Both treatment options are often used in conjunction.
Generally, Botox provides a more youthful facial appearance, serene and relaxed. You will look as if you have just come back from a restful vacation.
Results are plain to see about 10 days following the treatment. We recommend two or three treatments per year to maintain beneficial effects.
What happens during the procedure?
The procedure lasts no more than 15 minutes. We inject small doses of Botox in target muscles. You will feel only a slight tingling sensation and can return to your daily activities right away.
